After 7 years of practical experience as a professional in audio engineering, I moved into research and and software development for smarter audio processing. Here are some projects I’ve worked on:
Smarter Audio: A conceptual framework for performing “smart” audio processing with artificial intelligence by modeling the human auditory system. Initial tests of the framework reduced latency of sound classification by a factor of 300 compared to previous approaches. Developed in cooperation with Aarhus University and Dynaudio A/S. #Dokk1Sounds: An interactive audiovisual installation at Aarhus’ main library Dokk1 which automatically downloads content related to Dokk1 from social media and remixes it into a new musical context as a soundscape composition. Commissioned by Aarhus Kommune and developed in cooperation with Aarhus University researchers.
During my research on audio processing with AI, I have contributed as a writer for Towards Data Science, been interviewed by Engadget and published peer-reviewed research on a perceptually based sound compression algorithm.
